Position: Customer Relations Specialist (Reference Checker) (part-time, temporary, non-exempt)

Location: Exton, PA

Schedule: 20 hours a week primarily during traditional 9-5 business hours.

BBBS IR seeks a part-time, temporary Customer Relations Specialist at a rate of $13/hour. This position requires 20 hours of work per week, during 9-5 business hours, through November 2019. This position assists with volunteer reference checks during peak enrollment periods.


  1. Conduct volunteer references by phone and e-mail using a questionnaire template. Thoroughly type and document each reference’s response in the agency’s database.
  2. Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.


Academic: Bachelor’s degree a plus. Minimum high school diploma and some office experience.

Professional: Experience working with child and adult populations, as well as assessment, intake or interview experience preferred. Experience and ability to make cold calls. Strong organizational skills required; ability to work independently; and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Experience with databases or Salesforce a plus.
